You can adore the Blessed Sacrament in our parish on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
During the times specifically reserved for Eucharistic Adoration, the consecrated Host, Jesus’s Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, is displayed in a Monstrance, the vessel used to publicly display Jesus, in the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus personally invites us, as he did with his disciples in the Garden of Gethsemene, to spend time with him in prayer and keep him company.
It is the veneration and worship we give to Jesus, who is truly present in the Sacred Host, which is consecrated during Holy Mass. The Eucharist is a priceless treasure and the source and summit of the Church and the very well- spring of graces. By spending time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, we will grow in grace and holiness, we will foster better the worship due to Jesus, we will build up a personal relationship with Jesus, we will make reparation for sins committed, and eradicate irreverence to the Most Blessed Sacrament, increase our charity. In recent times, it has been noted that parishes that have regular Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has led to an increase in vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. Did not Jesus say “ Ask the Lord of the harvest to send more labourers to his harvest”. (Mt 9:38).
In our parish, you can adore the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesdays (5pm-5.55pm) and Thursdays (10.30-11.30am).
