Monthly Building Fund 2nd Collection: This weekend.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration – Summer Hours: The Oratory has now closed for the summer on and will re-open on Monday 15 August. There will be Adoration in the Church from 10.30 am – 1.00 pm each weekday, Mondays – Fridays. (not Thursdays). Adorers are asked to complete a sign-up for these hours using the forms in the porch at the back of the Church. Some slots still free, particularly Tuesdays 11am-12 Noon.

St Pio of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio). We will celebrate a Votive Mass of St Pio of Pietrelcina this Wednesday the 6th of July at 7pm. An individual Blessing of his Mitten will also take place. He last wore this mitten on the 10th of August 1947, the Anniversary of his Ordination. He used the mitten to cover the stigmata that he received while praying before the Crucifix in the choir loft of the Old Church in the Monastery of San Giovanni Rotondo on 20th September 1918. There will be No Morning Mass on the 6th of July in St Johns/St Thomas.

St Michael the Archangel Statue: A life size statue of St Michael the Archangel has been specially commissioned for a tour of Scotland. The statue will be in St Johns from Wednesday 27th July until Wednesday the 3rd of August. More details to follow.

Family Rosary Book: We invite all families to make a special pledge to pray the family rosary at home every day. Family Rosary books have been specially commissioned and printed to guide families in this simple devotion. www.marriagefamilylife.org/books

Funerals this week St Johns: Elizabeth Ailsa Kilian on Mon 4th July at 10am and Leanne Gallacher on Tues 5th July at 10am.

Collection Envelopes: Could we kindly ask you to use the Envelopes for the 22/23 Tax Year and not the previous years as your envelope number will not correspond to this year. Secondly, please do not score out numbers, dates or whatever is printed on the envelopes, it causes numerous problems. Could you also please note that the legacy collection ceased over a year ago. If you need up to date envelopes for this Tax Year 22/23, please ask.

Anniversaries/Deaths: Could you please print in capitals the names of the deceased as this helps enormously in knowing who the Mass intention is for.

St Thomas: Donations are being sought for the Barrhead Food Bank. The priority at the moment is Porridge Oats, Tea/Coffee and long-life Milk. Donations will be uplifted after the 10am Mass on Sundays. The collection bucket is in the porch.

Marriage Counselling Service: Please note that the updated telephone number for the marriage counselling service in our Diocese is now:  07706 063936
