Optional Special Collection: The Apostleship of the Sea (11th July): This provides practical and pastoral care to all seafarers, through Port Chaplains and Volunteer Ship Visitors. The life of a seafarer is dangerous and lonely, separated from their families and working in harsh conditions. The monies from the St Anthony box will be given as our Parish Contribution. Box in porch as you enter through Main Door to Church (St Johns) and in Sacristy in St Thomas.

 

Sunday 5pm Mass: As from after this weekend, this Mass will not continue until after Summertime.

 

Ordination of Rev Joseph Mc Gill: St Mirin’s Cathedral 6th July: Please keep Deacon Joe Mc Gill in your prayers as he prepares these final days for Ordination to the Priesthood.

Course to Qualify as RE Specialist.  The University of Glasgow is offering an ATQ in RE this coming academic year (21/22). A grant of £400 is available in two instalments from Paisley Diocese for teachers, resident in the diocese who attend monthly diocesan seminars to support the completion of their assignments.  This qualification fulfils the requirement for applying to the GTCS for Professional Registration as a specialist Religious Education teacher in the Catholic Secondary school.
