75th Anniversary of VE Day
Today all over the World we mark Victory in Europe Day, when Germany surrendered to the Allied Army. It is a day to commemorate and remember the bravery and courage of our Allied Soldiers, our own family members and fellow townsfolk of Neilston who were willing to sacrifice their lives for our free tomorrow. We do not glorify War today but show our appreciation and respect for all those heroic servicemen and women who gave their life to fight against evil and keep us free from it’s enslavement.
Today at 11am, there will be two minutes silence, all over the country and at 10.45am here at our own War Memorial in Neilston, a Commemoration Service which we can all take part in from the safety of our homes via live streaming from the Neilston War Memorial Association Facebook.
“We will remember them”
