Icon Arrives in Paisley

The ‘Jesus the Teacher’ icon arrives at St Mirin’s Cathedral on Wednesday 15th August.

100 Years of Catholic Education in Scotland

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Education Act, which incorporated Catholic schools into the national system, there will be a Mass at 7pm on Wednesday 15th August, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at St Mirin’s Cathedral.

The icon will be welcomed into the Cathedral. Afterwards, there will be Mass and Vespers. Representatives from our schools will be present.

All are welcome to attend this Mass, and to celebrate our Catholic Education system in Scotland. This Mass will fulfil the Holy Day Obligation.
