Obligatory Safeguarding Training

Bishop John has agreed to implement this new diocesan policy for all volunteers with PVG certificates.

The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Group expects that all volunteers doing regulated work with children and/or vulnerable adults will attend a Level 1 training session by the end of 2017. This is now diocesan policy. For those who failed to attend a session in 2017, a couple of sessions have been arranged for January 2018.

The next training session will take place in:

• St John’s parish hall, Barrhead on Wednesday 17^th January: 7pm-8.30pm

• St Mirin’s parish Hall, Paisley on Saturday 27^th January: 10.30am-12noon

There will be limited space at each session, therefore volunteers should register up to one week before the date of the training session.
